Can foreigners use ActiveSG and Healthpoints? (EP, S Pass, DP)
Yes, with three limits.
1. Earning points: same as locals
Anyone aged 17+ with an NRIC or FIN can join Healthy 365 challenges. The rules are the same: steps, workouts, sleep and shopping all count.
2. MyActiveSG+ account: needs Singpass
To redeem ActiveSG credits you need a MyActiveSG+ account, which needs Singpass and a local mobile number. Foreigners living in Singapore with Singpass can sign up. Visitors without Singpass can only buy single entries on site.
3. Pay per entry, at a higher price
Gym and swim passes (MyActiveGYM, MyActiveSWIM) are for citizens and PR only. Foreigners pay per entry:
| Citizen / PR | Foreigner | |
|---|---|---|
| Gym, per entry | $2.50 | $3.30 |
| Pool, weekday | $1.00 | $1.30 |
| Pool, weekend | $1.30 | $1.70 |
Do credits cover the full price?
It seems not: credits cover only the citizen/PR price, and you pay the difference in cash. For a $3.30 gym entry, $2.50 comes from credits and $0.80 from your card.
Also, if less than $0.50 is left after credits, you pay $0.50. So each swim costs at least $0.50 in cash.
Example
8 gym visits and 4 weekend swims a month cost a foreigner $33.20, of which about $8.40 has to be cash.
