Questions
How many public holidays are there in 2027?
Eleven. Chinese New Year falls on Saturday and Sunday, 6–7 February, so Monday 8 February is also a holiday.
What if a public holiday falls on a Saturday?
In 2027, Chinese New Year’s first day, Labour Day and Christmas fall on Saturdays. If Saturday is not a working day for you, employers covered by the Employment Act must give you another day off or a day’s pay.
How is the plan picked?
It picks the combination of breaks that gives the most days off in a row for the leave you enter. Short bridges (1 day of leave for 4 days off) usually come first.
