BSD: Buyer’s Stamp Duty
The stamp duty every home buyer pays, from 1% to 6% in bands of the price.
BSD is the stamp duty every buyer pays when buying property, whether it is an HDB flat or a condo. For homes it is charged in bands, like income tax:

On a $600,000 flat that comes to $12,600. BSD is due within 14 days of signing, and you can pay it with CPF, but you usually pay cash first and get reimbursed from CPF later.
