Questions
What is annual value?
The rent your home could earn in a year, without furniture or maintenance fees. IRAS sets it each year from market rents; it is not your purchase price.
When do I pay?
Property tax is billed in December and due by 31 January. You can also pay by GIRO in up to 12 monthly instalments.
Why is my tax higher when I rent out my home?
Homes you don’t live in are taxed at higher rates (from 12%) and get no rebate.
