Questions
What does “++” mean on a menu?
The price excludes a 10% service charge and 9% GST. GST is charged on top of the service charge, so you pay 19.9% more than the menu price.
Since when is GST 9%?
GST went up from 8% to 9% on 1 January 2024.
Can tourists get GST back?
Tourists can claim GST refunds on goods bought from participating shops (usually $100 or more per receipt), at Changi Airport before departure.
